AOS vs
Claude Cowork.
A great desktop partner. Running on your machine, as you.
Claude Cowork is a strong agent that works on your desktop. We use Claude. But Cowork runs under your login, on your machine, one session at a time, and you review every step. It is a research preview behind a Max plan, with a five-hour session cap and a weekly limit you can hit mid-task.
It runs as you. Same machine, same accounts, same permissions. A bad instruction or a poisoned file acts with your access, and there is no hold to catch it first.
Complex multi-step browser work is still hit or miss. You cannot walk away and trust a long autonomous run the way the demos imply.
Session and weekly caps. You can be mid-task when the clock runs out and have to wait for a reset.
It is one session. There is no second agent reviewing the first, and no named owner you can hand a whole function to.
Use Claude Cowork when you want a partner for one task on your desktop. Use AOS when you want a team running many.
