Founding Founder
License.
The agreement that comes attached to an AOS install. Plainly worded so you can read it before you sign, not after. Eleven sections, one summary, no boilerplate. You agree at checkout; no PDF to sign.
What you are buying
A single private AOS instance, provisioned in your company name. Eight departments, sixty-one specialist agent roles, the mission system, the five approval points, the evidence trail, and operating memory. Hosted on infrastructure we run on your behalf.
The Founding Founder License is a one-time fee of one thousand US dollars. The fee covers installation, configuration during onboarding, and a permanent locked-in install rate for the life of your account. For the first one hundred Founding Founders only, the first month of hosted maintenance is included with the install fee; after the first one hundred deployments, the install fee no longer includes the first month and the hosted line begins immediately. After the included month (or the install completion, whichever applies), the hosted maintenance line of one hundred US dollars per month begins and may be paused at any time without penalty. An optional annual hosted plan of nine hundred dollars (covering twelve months) is offered at checkout, saving three hundred dollars relative to twelve monthly payments.
Token usage runs on either your own model provider keys (BYOK) or on AOS Credits with hard caps you set. Token spend is not part of either fee above and is billed at the underlying model provider rate with no markup if you use BYOK, or at the AOS Credits rate disclosed on the pricing page if you use credits.
How you agree
You agree to this license by completing payment for an AOS install. Clicking Install for $1,000 (or the Enterprise install equivalent) with a successful charge constitutes your acceptance of all sections below. A copy of the license at the version current on the day you installed is emailed to you within the hour and remains available at this URL.
You do not need to sign or countersign a PDF. If your legal team requires a counter-signed copy or a custom MSA, the Enterprise install includes both. Standard Data Processing Agreements, SOC 2 attestation, and security-questionnaire responses are available on request without an Enterprise plan.
This license replaces any prior terms, sales emails, or quoted statements. The version on the website on the day of your install is the version that governs your account. Material changes to future versions do not retroactively change the terms you installed under.
What Founding Founder means
The one thousand dollar install rate is reserved for the first one hundred deployments made under this license. We track a public counter on the pricing page. Once one hundred installs have completed, the install fee moves to five thousand US dollars for new customers.
If you install under this license, your install rate is locked at one thousand dollars for any future re-provisioning, additional instances under the same legal entity, and any reinstall after a paused account is resumed. The lock survives a pricing change for new customers.
There is no quantity cap on Founding Founder licenses purchased by a single legal entity, but each install is one fee. We will not bundle, package, or offer volume discounts during the Founding Founder period. Counterfeit, resold, or transferred licenses are not honoured.
What your data does and does not do
Anything you put into your AOS instance, including briefs, missions, evidence, decisions, customer data, and operating memory, belongs to you. We act as a processor under any standard data processing agreement you bring; we will sign a reasonable DPA on request without changing the price.
We do not train any model, foundation or otherwise, on the contents of your instance. We do not use your data to improve the AOS framework outside your account. We do not share your data with model providers beyond the inference calls required to run the agents you assigned. We do not sell, rent, or license your data to any third party for any purpose.
If you cancel, we retain your data for ninety days in a paused state so you can resume without loss. After ninety days, on your written request, we will fully delete it, including from backups within the retention window of each backup tier. We issue a written confirmation of deletion within fourteen days of completion.
Subprocessors are listed and kept current on the security page. We notify by email at least thirty days before adding or removing a subprocessor that handles your data.
The five approval points
The five categories of approval point (money moves, public claims, customer data, system changes, audit trail) are not optional. They are part of how AOS is licensed to operate inside your business. You can tune the thresholds, name additional reviewers, and add dual-sign-off rules. You cannot disable a category entirely.
If any approval point is bypassed by your team, by a custom integration you build, or by an unauthorized modification to the AOS framework, our liability under this license is limited to the fees you have paid to AOS in the twelve months preceding the event. Token spend remains your responsibility. See section seven for the overall liability cap.
You are responsible for nominating at least one approver per category. If a category has no nominated approver, AOS holds any matching action indefinitely and notifies you weekly until you assign one.
Acceptable use
You may not use AOS to facilitate fraud, deceive customers about material facts, generate disinformation, harass any person, infringe intellectual property, evade lawful taxes, or do anything that would itself be illegal in your jurisdiction. You may not attempt to extract, copy, or resell the AOS framework or its proprietary prompts.
You may not use AOS to provide unlicensed regulated services (legal, medical, financial, accounting, tax) to your customers without the appropriate professional oversight required by law in their jurisdiction.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches this section. Where possible we will give fourteen days notice; where doing so would expose other customers or third parties to risk we may suspend immediately and explain afterward.
What we do not warrant
AOS is an operating system for agentic work. The agents draft, plan, review, and prepare decision packets. They do not replace your judgement on the five approval categories. We do not warrant that any output from any agent will be free of error, suitable for a particular legal, financial, regulatory, or medical purpose, or compliant with regulations specific to your industry. You remain responsible for the use you make of any output.
We do not warrant uninterrupted service. We target ninety-nine point five percent uptime on the hosted line and provide a per-month service credit if we fall below it, calculated as the percentage of downtime applied to that month of hosted fees. Credits are the sole remedy for downtime.
Model provider outages, third-party tool outages, and force-majeure events are excluded from the uptime calculation. AOS will publish an incident report within seventy-two hours of any major service disruption.
Our aggregate liability under this license is capped at the fees paid to AOS in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. This cap does not limit liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.
Termination
You may terminate this license at any time by written notice. On termination, your hosted line ends at the close of the current billing month and you keep the work already delivered. Because the install fee provisions your private instance and operating memory on day one, and because hosted fees cover infrastructure that is already running on your behalf, paid fees stay with the work they paid for rather than being prorated back. The annual upsell, where selected, runs through its twelve-month term. Extraordinary circumstances are handled on a case-by-case basis; we will work with you in good faith where the situation warrants it.
We can also terminate this license for cause if AOS is used to facilitate fraud, knowingly violate applicable law, abuse our infrastructure, or breach the data terms in section four. We give fourteen days written notice in those cases, except where immediate suspension is needed to protect other customers or platform integrity.
On termination, the data retention and deletion terms in section four apply. Unspent AOS Credits purchased as a top-up convert to account credit and stay available for a future reinstall under the same legal entity within twelve months. The Founding Founder install rate also stays with the legal entity for a future reinstall within that same twelve months.
Affiliations and independence
AOS is independent and self-funded. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Entrepreneurs Organization (EO), Young Presidents Organization (YPO), Vistage, Hampton, Private Equity Forum (PEF), The Alternative Board (TAB), Pavilion, Summit, EOS Worldwide, or the publishers of any operating book we name on the site. References to these organizations are editorial and describe our intended audience.
Where we describe agent roles as drawing on the published teachings of named public figures, those references are editorial in nature and reflect the bodies of work that influenced the framework design. The named individuals are not affiliated with, employed by, or endorsing AOS. We do not reproduce their copyrighted material verbatim beyond fair-use bounds.
Disputes
This license is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising under this license shall be resolved by binding arbitration in the State of Delaware, administered by JAMS, with one arbitrator chosen by mutual agreement or, failing agreement, appointed by JAMS.
Each party bears its own costs and fees unless the arbitrator decides otherwise. Neither party may bring claims as a member of a class action or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may issue equitable relief where appropriate.
Plain-English summary
You pay one thousand dollars to install your AOS. You pay one hundred dollars a month (or nine hundred dollars a year) after day thirty to keep it running. You pause anytime. Your data is yours. We do not train on it. The five approval points are non-negotiable holds on risky moves. We are independent. If we disagree, we arbitrate in Delaware.
